EVEREST BASE CAMP TREK

Arrive in Kathmandu (1,400m) and transfer to your hotel (Check-in from 14.00). Rest and prepare for the trek. If time permits, enjoy a short walk around the nearby area. Overnight in Kathmandu (1,400m).

Visit Swayambhunath (1,400m), the famous hilltop Buddhist stupa overlooking Kathmandu Valley. Continue to Kathmandu Durbar Square (1,400m) and explore the historic old city. In the afternoon, visit Patan Durbar Square (1,350m) and its traditional Newari architecture. Overnight in Kathmandu (1,400m).

Take a scenic mountain flight from Kathmandu (1,400m) to Lukla (2,860m). Begin the trek through the Dudh Koshi Valley to Phakding (2,610m), passing through small Sherpa settlements and enjoying the first views of the Himalayan landscape. Overnight in Phakding (2,610m).

Trek through pine forests and cross suspension bridges along the Dudh Koshi River. Enter Sagarmatha National Park and continue uphill to Namche Bazaar (3,440m), the main trading centre of the Khumbu region. Overnight in Namche Bazaar (3,440m).

A day for acclimatisation. Enjoy a short hike to the Everest View Hotel area (approx. 3,880m) for beautiful mountain views, with time to explore Namche Bazaar (3,440m) and its surroundings. Overnight in Namche Bazaar (3,440m).

Trek through beautiful mountain scenery with views of Everest, Ama Dablam and other Himalayan peaks. Continue to Tengboche (3,860m) and visit the famous Tengboche Monastery (3,860m). Overnight in Tengboche (3,860m).

Continue the trek through rhododendron and mountain forests, passing traditional villages and enjoying views of Ama Dablam. Follow the Imja Khola valley to Dingboche (4,410m). Overnight in Dingboche (4,410m).

A second acclimatisation day to help the body adjust to the increasing altitude. Enjoy a short hike around Dingboche (4,410m) with views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks. Overnight in Dingboche (4,410m).

Trek through the high Himalayan landscape towards Lobuche (4,940m). The trail passes through the Khumbu Glacier area, with spectacular views of the surrounding peaks. Overnight in Lobuche (4,940m).

Continue towards Gorak Shep (5,164m) and, after a short rest, trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364m). Enjoy the dramatic surroundings of the Khumbu Glacier before returning to Gorak Shep (5,164m). Overnight in Gorak Shep (5,164m).

Early morning hike to Kala Patthar (5,545m) for sunrise and panoramic views of Mount Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Pumori and the surrounding Himalayan peaks. Descend to Gorak Shep (5,164m) and continue to Pheriche (4,240m). Overnight in Pheriche (4,240m).

Pheriche (4,240m) – Namche Bazaar (3,440m) Continue the descent through the beautiful Khumbu landscape, passing traditional villages and forests. Return to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) for a comfortable evening. Overnight in Namche Bazaar (3,440m).

Continue the trek downhill along the Dudh Koshi Valley, crossing suspension bridges and passing through Sherpa villages. Reach Lukla (2,860m) and prepare for the return journey. Overnight in Lukla (2,860m).

Take the mountain flight from Lukla (2,860m) to Kathmandu (1,400m). On arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy free time to relax. Overnight in Kathmandu (1,400m).

Visit Pashupatinath Temple (1,400m), one of Nepal’s most sacred Hindu sites, followed by Boudhanath Stupa (1,400m), an important centre of Tibetan Buddhist culture. Continue to Bhaktapur Durbar Square (1,400m), known for its historic temples, traditional squares and Newari architecture. Overnight in Kathmandu (1,400m).

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your onward flight (Check out by 12.00 noon). Your Everest Base Camp journey with Swornim comes to an end.
