KATHMANDU 03 NIGHTS + BHUTAN 03 NIGHTS: 01

Day 01: KATHMANDU
Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport at Kathmandu. Meet, assist at the airport then transfer to the Hotel. Briefing on tour itinerary. Afternoon sightseeing of Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swoyambhunath. Overnight.
Day 02: KATHMANDU
Morning sightseeing of Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Afternoon Pashupatinath Temple and Bouddhanath.
DAY 03: KATHMANDU – PARO (1 hr)
Morning fly to Paro, you will be received by our representative. Afternoon visit the Ta-dzong, the National Museum of Bhutan and the Paro Rinpung dzong. This massive fortress which today houses the office of the district administration and the school and living quarters of the district Monk Body was built in 1645 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyel, the founder of Bhutan, later visit the Drukgyal Dzong which means “ Victorious Bhutanese Fortress” as it was from this fortress, the Bhutanese managed to repel many attempts of invasion by the Tibetan army in the old days. Today this dzong is in ruins. On the way back, visit the Kichu Monastery, one of the oldest temple in Bhutan built sometime during the 7th century by the Tibetan King Songtsen Gempo to spread Buddhist Dharma in the region. Overnight.
DAY 04: PARO- THIMPHU: (65 KM / 1 hr)
On the way, 5 kms before reaching Thimphu, stop at Semtokha and visit the Semtokha dzong, one of the oldest dzong in Bhutan built in 1629. Today this massive fortress houses the Institute of Language and culture and the school for the monks.
Drive onto Thimphu. At Thimphu, visit the memorial Chorten, a huge stupa built in memory of the Third King of Bhutan who died in 1972. Afternoon, visit the Folk Heritage museums, the national Library, the Institute of Arts and Crafts, the National Textile museum and the handicrafts emporium. Late evening, visit the Tashichodzong, the main secretariat building of the Govt. which houses the office of the King and the Chief Abbot of Bhutan. This massive fortress also has several important temples which can be visited. Evening, take a leisurely stroll in the Thimphu town and visit the handicrafts emporium which is located in the town. Overnight.
DAY 05: THIMPHU – PUNAKHA (77 KM / 3 hrs) – PARO (65 KM/ 1 hrs)
Morning drive to Punakha via Dochula pass. Stop at the Docula Pass (3120 m) to view the most spectacular view of the entire eastern Himalayan Mountain ranges ) visible only if the day is clear and drive onto Punakha. At Punakha, visit the Majestic Punakha dzong built between two rivers known as Phochu and Mochu meaning “ Male River and Female River”. Also visit the beautiful Khamsum Yule Namgyel Monastery. Afternoon drive to wangdi Phdrang (13 KM). Late afternoon, drive back to Paro. Overnight.
DAY 06: PARO – KATHMANDU (1 hr)
Morning fly back to Kathmandu. Afternoon Patan Durbar Square and Golden Temple.
Evening Farewell Nepalese dinner with culture dance.
Day 07: KATHMANDU
On time departure transfer to the airport.
